Advanced Stats

TS%True Shooting Percentage (PTS / (2 * TSA)) accounts for all ways a player could score: free throws, three-pointers, and two-point shot attempts. Therefore true shooting percentage adjusts the percentage of all attempts for a more accurate measure of efficiency.
eFG%Effective Field Goal Percentage (FG + 0.5 * 3PM) / FGA) accounts that three-pointers are worth more than shots worth only two points. Therefore, effective field goal percentage adjusts the field goal percentage for a more accurate measure of efficiency.
TSATrue shooting attempts (FGA + 0.44 * FTA.)
2PArThe ratio of two-point attempts compared to the rest of the respective player’s field goals.
3PArThe ratio of three-point attempts compared to the rest of the respective player’s field goals.

Shooting

ATB 3Above the Break three: Any three-point shot not taken from either corner.
Corner 3Corner three-point shots: The corner three-point shot areas are the sides of the three-point arc measuring 22 feet from the basket.
Mid RangeMid-range shots: A mid-range shot is any shot outside the restricted area and painted area, as well as inside the three-point arc.
PaintPaint shots: The painted rectangular area stretches from the top of the restricted area up to the free throw line.
RARestricted area shots: A four-foot area directly under the basket.

Game Score A equation created by John Hollinger, which measures a player's overall impact on a game: (PTS + 0.4 * FG - 0.7 * FGA - 0.4*(FTA - FT) + 0.7 * ORB + 0.3 * DRB + STL + 0.7 * AST + 0.7 * BLK - 0.4 * PF - TOV)
